    Is it just me, or does Wootz steel sound much harder, almost glassy sounding while it's being hammered? Noticed it in all of the Wootz vids, the steel, even when yellow hot, just sounds... harder than "normal" steels, or even pattern welded "Damascus".

    Wootz was known to be shit. This is much better. Arab soldiers often complained that their swords would snap while the crusaders swords would bend at worst.
